Menduh Leka, Ferizaj, Kosovo*
Menduh Leka ( writer, poet and editor of mearteka.com)
Born in municipality of Kaçanik, state of Kosova, poet Menduh Leka (3.4.1960) has graduated from Electrotechnical Faculty and Literature in Pristina. Since 1985 he lives and works in Ferizaj. During his high school days he has published poems and poetic prose. He was awarded several times in literary contest from magazines “Bota e Re”, “Zëri i rinisë”, “Fjala” etc. His works is included in these books: “Rrjedh e lë gjurmë”(1983) , “Zog Shtegtar" (1986), "Katërmbëdhjetë autorë” (1986) published by Literary Club of Ferizaj (this book was burnt by order of the Court), then the book of selected poems “N’kaçanik…”, "Pasthirrma lotore" (1986) etc. He has also published poems in literary journals “Nëntori”, "Drita" and “Ars” in Albania. Many of his poems and literary reviews were published in electronic magazines. He is ideator and organizer of Poetry Readings in Ferizaj, 100 TPC meetings. He is in charge of Web literary magazine Mearteka. His book of poems “Riatdhesim Shprese” (2010) was selected for publication in a literary contest, where the jury was the late distinguished poet Ali Podrimja.
His recent book of poems is titled “Shpesa, Perëndia që e besoj” (2012).
