About the author
Jennifer Greene has been the publisher/editor of the Char-Koosta News, a weekly award-winning newspaper of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. She teaches at Salish Kootenai College and has taught at Northern Arizona University. She is the winner of the l998 Diane Decorah First Book Award for Poetry sponsored by the Greenfield Review Press and the North American Native Writers Circle of the Americas for her book of poetry, What I Keep. She teaches at Two Eagle River Alternative High School on the Flathead Reservation for the Collaborative. |

Nada i oprost
Ernest Hemingvej je napisao „Nijedan čovjek nije ostrvo“. Jennifer Greene je ostrvo poetske nade koje dobija, unutar eksplikacije navedene misli Ernestove, snagu supernove koja se radja, nastaje, nestaje da bi se ponovo rodila. Njen poetski krik je otisak sjećanja unutar moguće pretpostavke nedosanjanih nada. Ona ne može ni naučiti da mrzi. Jer je dio tla. Ovovjekovnog- Milenijumskog. Za razliku od onih koji osvajaju tlo uz buku moguće alternative – mržnje. Njeni vapaji sreće u blagosti stiha su najava budućih dana. Dana u kojima će ljudi postati, konačno, ljudi. Bar se nadam. Hope and forgiveness
Ernest Hemingway wrote "No man is an island". Jennifer Greene is an island of poetic hope that gets, within the explication of these Ernest thought, the force of supernova that is born, created, and disappears to be reborn. Her poetic cry is the footprint of the memory within the possible assumptions of not yet dreamed hope. She can not learn to hate. Because she is the part of the soil. Of this century/millennium kind. Unlike those who conquers the ground with the noise of the possible alternatives - hatred. Her cries of the happiness in the mildness of the verse are the announcement of future days. Days in which people will become, finally, humans. At least - I hope so. Because just about that this poetic messiah is writing. With forgiveness. Editor's word Sabahudin Hadzialic |
